Shadows Hate Light
“It had been fifteen years since the sun had last risen.” I thought to myself as I look over the horizon. Looking at every inch of the dirt that was once beautiful green grass. Now the grass has turned to a dugged up, pulled apart, destroyed dirty plain.
What’s happened in the last fifteen years you may ask?
Well the first three or four years were normal except for the fact we lived in complete darkness. Only seeing from our phone flashlight or a flashlight that we learned to carry around after the first week.
We also stayed around house and buildings more, you never saw kids outside anymore. The only things that had light was streetlights, building, houses anything you can think of that had light had it. Except for the suns light.
I was about 10 when the sun went down for the last day, I am about to turn 25 tomorrow. But those ages don’t matter because the age that every thing went wrong was when I turned 15.
After those four years that were perfectly normal, or close to normal now, we had the first shadow spotting in history of man kind.
Shadows? You may ask.
They are these things that hide in the shadows, hence the name, they feed on the feelings of fear. They get stronger with the more people they devour. Thats right shadows kills.
We haven’t learned of away to get rid of them. But one thing we’ve learned in this entire nine years of living along side them is;
Always keep a light on you. At. All. Times!
