WRITING OBSTACLE
Ignite. Ashamed. Eratic.
In a story or poem of no more than 10 sentences, use these three words in any order. Try not to randomly throw them in, but think about a storyline that allows you to link them all naturally.
Ignite. Ashamed. Eratic
The wind was wild, its whisper erratic,
Dancing through trees in a rhythm dramatic.
A spark in the dark began to ignite,
Turning the silence to flickering light.
I watched as the fire climbed higher with pride,
But something inside me still wanted to hide.
I’d struck the flame, though I never aimed,
And now I stood there quietly ashamed.
But the night forgave with its soft, gentle hum,
Reminding me even mistakes can become.
