It must be strange, to be a fish. Swimming in the deep blue sea, not knowing what lies ahead, nor caring what does. Prehaps this is why Leanna enjoyed long walks on the beachโ she could go wherever without worrying about where she would end up.
Leannaโs frizzy brown hair stuck to her face due to the salty ocean breeze as she walked further into the deep sand. She closed her eyes for a second to take in the magic which she felt the beach hadโ then she tripped and fell.
Her head knocked against something hard and her hand bleed slightly and she tried to catch herself on a sharp object.
Embarrassed, Leanna layed down face first on the sand for a second longer after she had comprehended what had just happened.
Finally, she got up and brushed the sand off her shorts with her barley bleeding hands.
โRight.โ Leanna mumbled as she glanced at the faint red stain on her fairly new white shorts.
She looked around the see what had cut her handโ a small broken compass.
Leanna carefully picked it up. It had a dark brown frameโ which appeared to have once been tanโ with bits of shattered glass glued to the edge.
Leanna held up the object to admire the broken treasure, then stuffed it into her pockets.
