Write a poem where the opening line is in a different language.
If you don't know another language you could look up a common phrase said in your language of choice that is linked to the theme of your poem.

“Yes, let’s,” my reply
And do our best we did
We gave it our all
We did all we could
Through loss of life
And Enduring their lies
Staging tearful protests
We voted
Petitioned
We wrote letters
Both angry
And kind
We saw families displaced
And many destroyed
So much inhumanity
Despite all our efforts
Those hateful bills passed
