Jamie’s POV

The wind brushes against my ear as I run. My feet pedal against the ground. I count the seconds. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. Eleven. Twelve. I have eight more seconds, I climb into a tree. My fingers grasp the knobs. My feet curve around the lower knobs. This tree is oddly easy to climb; in a short amount of time, I reach the perfect spot. I sit there for a moment, gazing at the breath taking view. My watch is disrrupted by screams.

I nearly stumble out the tree by the sound, running to track it down; until a sharp pain shoots up my back. I thrn around, and face a masked person——they have to be over 6 feet; there’s no way they’re any shorter. I fall to the ground, and something goes deeper in, I cannot move anymore. Not my arms or legs. A metallic taste alerts my taste buds.
