I Told Her
I told her i could hear them, even even see them lurking in between the trees.
I told her how they’re waiting, as they smell her perfume flow into the breeze.
I told her how they only wish for a bite, her sweet flesh guzzling down their throats will hold them through the night.
She told me I was insane, just a ugly jealous sister wishing the worst upon her name.
She told me there’s no truth behind those legends of the shadows I seek in the woods, nothing more than a tale to note in your childhood.
She told me she’ll stroll, she’ll stride, through the hilly path surrounded by them all, just to discredit all that I had saw.
They told me they were looking for her after time had went by, someone said they just may have heard her brief cries.
They told me they found her in pieces all around, guess one bite I was not enough for these beast that wonder without much of a sound.
They told me, it’s unfair, it’s pity what had to occur, I told them as I watch their eyes feel up with tears.
