POEM STARTER
In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take.
Write a poem ending with this line.
Who
Who are you
without your choices?
What are you made of
if not several voices?
Echoing
Echoing
The soft chant of expectation
the loud roar of deprication
The insinuation of
you are not enough
you are not _that_ tough
no matter what you’re not that loved
Who are you
without those voices?
who are you when you silence those
noises?
if you couldn’t fail
if you couldn’t lose
if you knew no matter what
you’d be happy because
_you could choose. _
__
but you haven’t.
and that could change
but it won’t.
and you’re to blame.
know that these choices
who and what you are
are yours to make
and in the end
we only regret the chances
we didn’t take.
