Light beam is in full gear, a little voice is heard from behind him. “L-Light Beam?” Comes the Claudette voice.

Damn it… what’s Cassie doing out of bed. He turns and looks at her “Hey kiddo, what are you doing up. Cassie gives a confused look “I got thirsty… why are you in my house?”

Light beam takes a deep breath and kneels in front of the 6 year old in front of him. “Promise not to tell anyone?” Cassie nods, her eyes go wide as he pulls off the mask. “Daddy?”

“Yes sweetheart?”

“You’ll always be my favorite superhero.”

He smiles as his heart melts. “Let’s get you back to bed.”
