Emily

Emily...Emily Emily Emily...She is very rude. Yes, she is always going up to people and saying “hey, are your parents poor? Because you look like you only have two dollars.” Her friends, the same as her, would always be coming up with her and saying more mean things like “hey you! Yeah, you! Did you put smelly perfume on or something? Cus it sure smells like it!” Rude. That’s what everyone calls her. But no, I know what she’s actually like. She’s nice. No-one knows. Her friends, oh, they got the rudeness alright. No, not Emily. She came, once, to my house. She actually was nice to me. “Hey, I wish everyone would know what I’m actually like.” she once said. “What do you mean by that?” I ask. “My parents-well, I’m always being bossed around by my parents, but they love me. They're always trying to spoil me.” “Really?” “Really.” “I-no, I shouldn’t say that.” I think. “What?” Emily asks. “Nothing.” “Now, can we talk about less depressing things?” I say. Me and Emily laugh. “Sure,” Emily says, sounding like she's wanting to talk about something else too. The next day at school, Emily’s bullying me again. She whispers in my ear at lunch “I’m sorry,” I nod, trying to put on a face that looks like she never talked to me. My friends start talking again, but they’re always ignoring me. After school, I ask Emily if she could come to my house again. She says okay and I thank her. While we’re walking to my house, she randomly says “I’m sorry if I bully you at school. I never mean to. My friends and parents always make me.” I nod unhurriedly and turn to look behind me. I realize Emily’s far behind me. I stop so she can catch up. “What just happened? Why were you so far away? You good?” I ask worriedly. “1, I don’t know. 2, I zoned out without discovering I had zoned out. 3, I’m fine,” “okay...This is the last time I’m gonna ask, you good?” “I'm fine,” “okay.” when we get to my house, we go to my room. “I want to tell you something.” “What?”

“I-nevermind, just stand still okay?” Emily says. “Okay, that’s a little bit weird, but alright.” Emily leans closer and..kisses me. “W-what?” I stutter. “I love you okay?” Emily says and goes to the door. “I love you,” she repeats. Then she leaves.
