How To Build Your Road: A Quick Guide
I took the road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference
In an instant,
I found myself walking endlessly,
Tired and suffering
Although this road is fine
It isn’t mine
The only way out of a lie,
Is through
You
All pain,
Let it not be in vain
Transform,
The experiences you’ve endured
Into words,
Speak for freedom and truth
The road less traveled,
May be good enough for some
However my pain is buried deep,
My digging has begun
The only road I’ll ever know,
Must be made by me,
You reap what you sow,
And what you don’t sow is what I seek,
Whatever pain awaits
Is what I’ll keep
The pursuit
The process
The journey
Whatever is to come
Is what gives me meaning
To discover
To wonder
To be a lover
Are all thrills
If you have the will
To be a beacon,
Bright, bold
Through any reason
Or season
You’ll be called a heretic,
Committing societal treason
Others don’t have what it takes
Leave it all in a will,
Chalk it up to fate
If you are reading these words, this is my truth
And although I can’t dig for you,
I hope my thoughts, soul, and action align
For you to decide
To be by my side,
For although are paths are inside,
I can always use another light
