I don’t think it’s disease that gets us in the end

So much as the sadness of so many losses

Life seems to get heavier and heavier

Fewer people to share the weight

We just get too tired to go on.

So maybe we should be spending more time

Renewing ourselves expanding our world

So there is always something to lighten the load

Of the ever-denser weight

On our shoulders.
