The Sun
How long do you give,
While they take,
And take,
And take,
Before you start,
To think,
To realize,
That maybe there was more to life,
Than seeing your golden glow shine,
On cities and towns,
On fields of grass and vibrant flowers,
On forests and oceans and rivers,
And watching the people,
That you work so hard for,
That you shine for,
Day,
After day,
After day,
Take it for granted,
Acting like the world you care for,
The world you tend to,
Is nothing without them.
The sun grew weary of seeing men squander its light, so she started to shine for herself.
