I stare dazed, amazed, and full of wonder

The air appears thick and the clouds speak thunder

Video footage of despair and blood mixed tears

The sound of loud, piercing screams laced with dread and fear

Dopomohty! Dopomohty!

These are the cries that I hear and see

Witnessing broken limbs, disarrayed bodies, and anarchy

Blue and yellow flags wave through the air

I attempt to pinch myself to awake from the nightmare

As the sting of the pinch caused me to physically feel

What I see before my open eyes was not a dream

It was all becoming real.
