What I Was

Her lips slip like perfume under waiting stars

I’m trying to trigger up a romance here

While walking out the door

While looking for my mind

My child’s mind scattered into branching limbs

There was something that I wanted

Oh yes

To tell her

Eyes sparkled a soul like distant meadow flower garden; her goodness radiates like heaven café- a place I actually been!

So perfect and strangely bespoke I instantly went mad;

Euphoric with a hot pink manic gleam

All because they had the perfect bowl of food for me- the perfect steaming drink- the perfect row of sunflowers and marigold swaying out front

Shining under north California sun

But I needed to tell her

Through the ethers

Her lips

Eyes

Soul

And that!

Long wavy hair

Thousand year love story
