The footsteps in the snow.

Episode 1: Finding me

“It will be dark and lonely and you might have to find the way through. In the word of impossible is possible. There will be things that will slow you down, knock you over, and might even hold you there but keep going. No matter what, you will find not the way but a way” - unknown

Day 1: I opened my eyes after I heard that in my sleep, I had no idea where it came from, who said it, and even why. No one knew what I was going through. I had nowhere to go. All I had was my clothes stuffed up in the back of my car that made it hard for me to see out the back window. When I woke up my keys were in the ignition, my wallet was on the floor and it was dark out, all I remembered is leaving and pulling over trying to collect my thoughts and I must have fallen into a deep sleep.

This was the hard part that I was trying to avoid, the part where it hit me that I had nowhere to go for real. I had barely any money, just enough to feed myself for the next couple of days, and no family at all. I raised my chair to normal and decided to throw everything in my trunk so I’ll have room to sleep in the back. I saw a man walking his dog and I politely spoke “ Hello, sir how are you today?” “Fine,” the man said, I shut my trunk got in the backseat of my car, and went to sleep again.

Day 2: When I woke up it was a new day. It was below zero, I knew I had a long day ahead of me. It was so cold, the news said not to be out of you didn’t have to. Who was I kidding I thought to myself I’m going to die alone out here in this weather. I took a walk and on my way I tripped into a pale of water I was soaked, afraid I was going to die I walked into the nearest hotel and dried off as much as I could before I walked back to the car. I didn’t want to freeze to death. My walk back to my car was more interesting than the walk here. I got picked up by the police because I matched the “description” of some lunatic that’s going around snatching purses. Even though I told them that it wasn’t me they took me in any way and asked me a bunch of questions.

Day 3: I slipped back into sleep in my car and heard the same thing.

It will be dark and lonely and you might have to find the way through. In the word of impossible is possible. There will be things that will slow you down, knock you over, and might even hold you there but keep going. No matter what, you will find not the way but a way” - unknown

Now, this is the second time that I have woke up and heard this, there has to be someone talking to me in my sleep or someone actually talking to me maybe through this window. As confused as I was I just kept going. I couldn’t stop. Not In the middle of me being homeless.
