“I think I just met the happiest person in the world!” I let loose a gentle chuckle, my knees bent down as I’m crouched close to the ground. My eyes looked over to a couple who I’m assuming just got engaged, as the future husband knelt to the ground and offered a ring to his future wife. My hand rested on soft fur, as I was petting my terrier Johnny. My other hands tight trip on his leash loosened a little bit as I started to make my way up to a regular standing pose. Just as I finished standing, Johnny started to bark at something and began to pull towards the direction I saw the engagement party occurred. I couldn’t help but question if their marriage would last, as the percentage of failing marriages and divorces were high. I started to think over if I wanted to deal with that experience as Johnny and I passed the couple. Soon enough with my thinking, my dog would’ve pulled us to our apartment complex, where I would be greeted with a familiar face.
