STORY STARTER
Dragons really do exist, but they're certainly not mean and terrifying...
Domestic Dragons
What if I told you that you could keep a fire-breathing, flying beast as a pet? Yes, you thought correctly, my friend, dragons. Most of the time, when you hear about dragons, they live in a cave, on a mountain somewhere. If you think about it, wouldn’t you be a beast too? Imagine growing up in a cold, dark cave where everything around you is scared of you. Now, I believe, like any other pet, you get them as a baby and raise them as your own, then they should have no reason to want to be dangerous.
A dragon could be trained like a cat, dog, or any pet you want. Before I continue to sound like a salesperson, I simply ask that you keep an open mind as I explain the truth about what kind of creature dragons are. Don’t let their rough and scary exterior fool you, they are gentle creatures. Dragons have brains, hearts, emotions, and yes, even souls. I don’t understand where, down the line, humans just decided that dragons were “dangerous” and “evil.” Oh, wait, yes, I do. Mr. King Arthur decided that these beautiful, majestic creatures were just meant to be feared and slain. Well, what nobody in history but a select few bloodlines have ever known is that dragons and humans used to live in contentment and happiness.
Believe it or not, dragons can completely understand you when you speak to them, but they just cannot speak back to us, just like animals. Dragons are very gifted at being able to sense when someone or something is genuine in their intentions. Even though these beasts know if you are being forthright or not, they will give you a chance to show your true colors. More often than not, as long as you are good to them, they will be good to you. But see, most animals will give you a second chance to show them something different, not dragons. Honestly, they will wait for you to show them what they knew all along. These optimistic beasts are also very vengeful; they are okay with losing the battle, but they will make it their life mission to win the war.
Long story short, dragons are not as mean and terrifying as they seem. Give one a chance, if you ever get a chance to catch a baby one.
