No Longer Me

My skin no longer feels like mine,

Shifting, morphing, altering with time.

Each day, a piece of humanity fades,

Beauty slipping through the cracks like cascading shades.

A journey of coming into the unknown,

Witnessing the transformation I must condone.

Anxiety grips me in its suffocating hold,

As I watch my reflection growing cold.

Anger rises at this cruel twist of fate,

A body betraying, losing its natural state.

Confidence wavers, shaken to the core,

As I face this truth that I can't ignore.

In the mirror, traces of what used to be,

A bittersweet reminder of the journey I see.
