POEM STARTER

Use the 'snowball technique' to write a poem, where the first line is one word long, the second line has two words, and so on.

Remember you do not have to 'build' on the first word - each line should use different words.

The Coffin

Grainy

Chilly Timber

Cold to touch

Like his stiff hands

When he looks at me

His frown lines furrow deeper

In that face, that cold face of his

His words are empty yet full of anger

One day the door will slam and the coffin lid will slide into place

I will cry at the funeral even though I know not all deaths are worth mourning for
