WRITING OBSTACLE

Write a dialogue that includes an example of verbal irony.

Verbal irony is when someone says the opposite of what they mean, often with the intention of being humorous or sarcastic. For example, "Great, just what I needed, another headache."

A Wish Awry

“Well, I gave you what you wished for.”

“Yes, Jeannie. Because when I wished for a billion dollars, being covered from head to toe in tiny doll hairs and bearing a striking resemblance to Cousin It is exactly what I had in mind.”
