To shield ourselves from disappointment and embrace our own safe space.

To mitigate the risk, the pain, in case we might demean.
Through pixelated masks we bear our souls, with hearts we dare expose,
For honesty's a daring dance and truths, like rivers, flow.
In cyberspace, we face the void, where anonymity is kind,
We shelter 'neath our virtual cloaks, and ease our troubled mind.
We fear the sharpness in their eyes, the sting of their disdain,
As fragile beings we often feel, and through our veins, shame reigns.
Yet in the darkness of the night, with trembling fingers we reveal,
Our stories, thoughts, and secrets deep, so truth can slowly heal.
The honesty of distant words, like whispers on the wind,
For every tear and laughter shared, new bridges we begin.
And as we grow, our truths unfold, from shadows we emerge,
Empowered by the courage found, as hidden fears we purge.
So may we find the strength to speak, when face to face we meet,
To stand with pride in truths we own, and make our lives complete.
For vulnerability's a gift, a power we possess,
