“it was you… your the superhero” she whispered in utter shock. My head dropped as i realised my identity had been unveiled. My biggest secret is no longer untold.

“why didn’t you tell me?” she muttered in disappointment. “I’m sorry, i didn’t want to be treated different by you… i’m still me.”

Her eyes glistened as tears fell onto each smooth cheek staining them with salty water. Her soft sniffles, breaking my heart as i realised how much this, what i thought was an innocent lie, had effected her. I cradeled her head with my hand as i hugged her comfortingly whilst she desperately pushed away from my body.
