POEM STARTER

'Backwards'

Use this single word to inspire a poem.

Backwards

Inbetween the red I see

Yellow daisies disagree

Up and down

blooming our doom

Burning and briused

gilded castle walls

I see the silver lining

plates so blue.

Drowning in the seas of needles and knives

waves sharp as daggers

I know so well,

bleeding out in front of my eyes

backwards ones

don’t dare to see the

purple stars in her eyes.

But the purple

Is all I can stare at and wonder

_How am I backwards_

_When all I can do _

_Is look foreward? _
