Between fear and flight
In love's warm embrace, my heart takes flight,
Yet shadows of doubt creep in with the night.
Each tender touch, a joy beyond compare,
But whispers of past pain linger in
air.
To trust again, to open up anew,
Requires courage I'm not sure
rings true.
For memories of heartbreak still remain,
A guard against potential
future pain.
But lo! A shift in thought, a new desire:
To risk it all, to leap into love's fire.
For what is life without this chance to feel
The depths of passion time cannot conceal?
Though fear may lurk, love's promise shines so bright,
I'll brave the dark to bask in its sweet light
