Loloryn is a continent abandoned by the old Gods, taken over by humans who fear the magic that’s been laced into the world. They are pillagers, a violent destructive group, set out to wreak havoc as a way to taunt the crown into making changes.

Eleanor is a girl who lives a quiet, mundane life. Taught from childhood to embrace simplicity and stay out of danger.

However, she unknowingly possesses something the Guild wants. Magic. She is forced out of her comfortability with bloody destruction, being held hostage by the group of rebels. That is until she is rescued by Locke, a man who’s form of conversation is with grunts and cruel words.

All Eleanor wants is to return to her life of ease, but Locke has other plans for her.

Eleanor is thrust into a life of running, illegal magic and cryptic information about who she is and what she’s capable of.
