Sun God

The Sun God lounged in his sun-dust throne. Star servants shooting past the halls of his throne room , others carrying out their daily tasks, while The Sun God watched blankly. “My God of life and light, the night is ending and the sun has yet to rise.” A Star Folk informed the Sun God his usual routine. He mustn’t be a moment late or a moment early. “I’ll report to my watch tower this moment.” The God rose from his throne and excused the servant. Once he reached the other halls of the palace, servants bowed their heads, seemingly warmed by the light emitting from his skin. His towering figure passing by the brilliant and glimmering halls.

The Sun God reached his watch tower, where he watched the globe of the earth from a distance in the vast space of the Solar System, with the help of his telescope, he watched the mortals. Nothing new. In the silence of space, he monitored the mortals while receiving piles of gifts at his door from other Gods.

“I already have all of this…” He groaned to the space of nothingness and tossed the gifts of star charts, gemstones, and tiny hand made models the other Gods would send him on a daily basis.

As his job, however, he knew it was only right to be a good model for the other Gods and Goddesses. He was the Sun’s perfection, after all. The mortals praised him from below. Mainly because of religious reasons as they prayed at alters.

_Bringer of life_

_Divinity light giver._

He’s heard them all for thousands of years. Yet nothing brought him that happiness that he dearly gave to others. The warmth of his own light couldnt fill the cold space in his heart.

From the silence of the vast void of glimmering stars, he could hear them whisper. “Do you think the sun gets lonely up there?”
