Time keeps randomly stopping around you, and you think it is you who is doing it. Then one night you are at a party, and time stops. Everyone is frozen, except one person at the other end of the room...
The Time Thief Pt 2
“Where am I?” I asked nobody in particular as I rocked back and forth.
The last thing I remembered was Correolanus saying _‘You’re destined to bring time back together,’_ or something like that.
Then everything went black.
And now here I was.
“Who’s rowing the boat?” I managed to say.
Then I felt myself turn, and I was cold.
Teal-blue water enveloped me as I sank deep, my lungs screaming for air.
I could practically feel the icy water streaming through my veins as I clawed at it with all of my strength.
And then I was warm.
I let myself grasp onto the warmth, holding tightly to it.
Strong arms wrapped around my waist, and I was cold again.
An icy wind blew harshly, and I reached for the water, wanting to return to the warmth.
A muffled voice whispered to me “It’s ok, it’s ok.”
But it wasn’t, they had taken away my warmth.
“Let me go, please let me go,” I sobbed.
They carried me until I felt sturdy land under my feet, and I found the strength to finally open my eyes.
I didn’t get a chance to see my rescuer before I was dropped on a grainy, soft, and slightly wet patch of land.
Sand.
I was on a beach.
I closed my eyes, weakness overcoming me.
When I woke again, I found the strength to sit.
A blazing fire crackled near me, and I crept towards it, my hands red with cold.
My hair was messy, and I could feel grains of sand in uncomfortable places, but only one question itched at me like nothing else.
_Who had rescued me?_
__
I examined the area around me, looking for any trace that someone else had been there.
Nothing.
No footprints, disturbed grass, not even a hint that someone else was there.
Which meant that I was alone.
I tried not to panic, so I stood. I was on the beach, and just a few feet away grass grew with trees popping up around it, and small mountains beyond.
I had to do something, someone had rescued me, and I was determined to find them.
