POEM STARTER
Use the 'snowball technique' to write a poem, where the first line is one word long, the second line has two words, and so on.
Remember you do not have to 'build' on the first word - each line should use different words.
Comfort In The Constant
Music
My constant
My comforting companion
It is all around,
Cafes, libraries, stores, cars, strangers
Pass me by as I travel
My footfalls are the drum, keeping time
Each person I pass, starting their own dance
Engines grumbling, morning whispers, cutlery skipping across cafe porcelain
All blossoming into the orchestra serenading us throughout our day,
A bird pirhouttes past the traffic lights, the sorpranos now awake
The growing rhythm of commuters join the thrum, a steady constant beat
the shuffling of feet a metronome, the baseline of a well rehearsed tune
My breath slows, my heart calm, comfort found in the soundtrack of my everyday
