When I look in the mirror

I don't see myself reflected

I see a damaged soul and

A heart that stayed neglected.

When I peer into my eyes

I don't see hope flaring wide

I see a murky resolution

Of a possessed mind.

When I stare at the others behind me

I don't see their bare faces either

I see horns haloing their heads

And their sunken skin about to wither.

When I take in the world we live in today

I realise I am not alone in suffering the curse,

It's everyone surrounding me as well -

Perhaps, perhaps all of has a demon inside us.
