STORY STARTER
A tattoo artist can ink your fate onto your skin, but once drawn, it cannot be changed or undone.
Write a story about a character deciding whether to uncover their fate, or leave it open for change.
Ink Of Destiny
At first I thought it was a joke. A tattoo that tells you your future.then I realized it was real.
I’ve always wanted to get a tattoo and when I turned 18 I finally booked an appointment.
Since I lost my dad a year ago In a car crash it’s not been the same I needed to know if ther was a reason to continue.
After a week the time came to get the ‘tattoo of fate’. As I entered the store I sat down on the closest chair and someone came wearing a balck mask and a long dress . As I sat down I smelt rubbing alcohol my and it all became real. In the background I heard the buzzing of tattoo machines wich made me scared. Some people were crying and some people were jumping with joy.
“Hey’“ the tattoo artist said
“Hi,” I muttered
“Nervous?” she replied “my names Lilly I can assure it will be ok,”
“Thanks, my names Emily,” I said starting to calm down.”your very nice,”I continued
“Well when you know you will die today you will tend to be kinder to people,” Lilly said less cheerfully.
I kept quiet unsure on how to respond.
“Let me explain how it works. You can get you story tattooed on you body or just a little thing. You can’t choose the piece though it’s the next part of your story that gets tattooed . The most important thing is that you can’t change it even if it’s bad.events are locked in there’s no going back,” lilly said calmly she had definitely done this before.
A young women walked passed us out of the tattoo room sobbing .
“Gess she got a bad one neaver a easy sight. She is leaving thought you know what that means?”lilly said
“What?” I replied
“There is a free bench. Are you ready?”
“I guess.”
We both walked to the back of the room…
