To Lose Your Love Is Worse Than Death
I stood, holding onto the cold metal railing,
I was about to jump, my life seemed to be failing
But you wrapped your arms around me and pulled me back,
I stared at the stars in the night sky, and my life seemed to be on track.
You were like a sunbeam of joy, perfect in every way,
I was the moon, distant and cold, but still you would stay.
You never know what you love until you miss it,
I want to see your face again, I’d love to kiss it.
That night, I came back to our home,
The balcony door was open and it chilled my bone.
I ran to the railing and exploded into tears,
The sight I saw, was beyond my fears.
You lay there in the night, finally at rest,
I wish I could tell you that you were my best.
The sky full of stars seemed dead and cold; a place once so magical now hurt to behold.
