POEM STARTER
"In the heart of the city, under the neon lights, our paths crossed, igniting endless nights."
Compose a poem beginning with this line.
Death to us All
In the heart of the city
Under neon lights
Our paths crossed
Lighting endless nights
We promised forever
But forever didn’t last
And as I walk alone
I think back to our past
In the dark of the living room
We danced, just me and you
You told me lies, that I believed,
Thinking you were a dream come true
It finally became clear that
We weren’t meant for each other
But from you there was still hope
I thought we could be “forever lovers”
Now you only seem
To appear in my nightmares
Which refuse to go away
Even after all those years
So as I rip up your “love” letters
And gift them to the breeze,
I think: death to all the lovers
And let the loved be at ease
