I have someone I like
she's as bright as the sun
her smile brought me warmth
and her joy taught me fun
She has someone she likes
that she watches from afar
A kind and quiet boy
she thinks he hung the stars
He has someone he likes
That someone being me
He writes a poem every night
about my "moon-like pretty"
We all have someone we like
who we watch, and yearn, and crave,
our prayers cancel out each other's
and love ends up in a grave
