The worst part of going to sleep is the dreams. I run and run, but I can never seem to get away. She always grabs me.

I couldn’t help her fast enough when they attacked. They clung to her skin like moths to a flame. Watching the lady at the park 6 months ago plunge into the lake will forever traumatize me.

I though the stings would be the worst, but the buzzing of her bees is the most terrifying part.

I gasp awake, choking for air that isn’t there. I thought when I awoke the dream would fade like normal, but there it is again. The buzzing of those damn bees.

I gasp again only to realize that there is a tightness in my throat. I glance up at a face that I will never forget. The poor lady that I couldn’t save. The welts from the bee sting cover her skin. Her body drenched from the lake she ran into.

The realization is quick in my mind. My only though is that she’s finally come for me.

The last of the air in my lungs was expelled when I screamed at her horrifying gaze.
