Shoes
Her shoes were tall, shiny, black boots, covered in buckles. The white laces slithered their way to the top where they met in a sloppy bow. The white drawings on the toe were of broken hearts and sad song lyrics, many of which were faded or scuffed away from time. The soles of her shoes were thick, at least an inch or two, with a small heel, and appeared to have been white at some point but were now a dirty brown. Each shoe was slightly different from the other, worn in different places. One had a spot of bright blue that appeared to be paint, the other was missing the end of the laces. Something about them was beautiful in their own weird way. I loved it.
