Frightmares

When the night falls

My body starts to tremble

For then I have a nightmare

A storm of evil

Starts to assemble

Falling asleep

Frightens me terribly

When I die in my dreams

I wake up wearily

I can't tell if it's scary

Or if it's really or seriously bad

That the dreams where I have died

Were the best I've had

I don't like to see

The hideous creatures

That fill my resting head

With horrifying features

I've never had a good dream

And I don't know how one feels

I don't know if its fun

Or if it scars

Or if it heals.

It's morning now but I do dread the night

Where another nightmare comes to bite

And I keep my foot under the blanket held tight

And maybe, if I'm brave...

Turn of the light

Good night.
