Birthday of the Grown Little Girl
In the dim darkness of the room, the bundle on the bed could look like a pile of blankets to anyone, if it was not sobbing. The lull of the repetitive shaking seemed to slow and quiet the room, the silence occasionally being broke with a small whimper or cry. A weak blue light pierced the room as the weeping figure let her hand fall down. A picture of a smiling little blonde girl in a wedding dress looking up glowed on the lock screen.
"I am so so sorry, I loved you..." the woman sobbed, hot tears slipping down her eyes, "I've gotten no where," Alone in her room she laid on her back, staring through glazed eyes towards her ceiling. Her dirty blonde hair seemed to seep around her head. She pushed her tears up and sniffled, raising her phone to eye level, she whispered, "I wish I could warn you. We don't get that friend we wanted, the love, or the life you thought I'd grow into." Her face twisted in pain.
In the dim darkness of the room, there was silence. A melancholy smile appeared on her face. "It took five years to get me crying, and now I'm crying on what should be the happiest day of the year for me. haha. This sucks. God a little help here please, just tell me what I'm going to do, what all this is for." She tapped her forehead, shoulders, and chest weakly. A small prayer slipped through her lips and darted through her window, up through the spiny gray branches, dodging crumpled leaves, and up, up to the gray-blue clouds.
