Once upon a time you were my person forever,

But nothing good ever lasts...

You hooked me into a true fantasy of love,

Now you are just a ghost, a haunting memory of my past.

Why oh why did I ever even bother?

We both know I always deserved better.

You know what I wanted, but you never asked...

You left me behind and you took a different path,

I used to gaze upon the starry night skies,

Thinking of you all the time..

I quickly realised though with each flickering star,

That my heart was aching with too many scars.

I no longer yearn for a dreamy, delusional love,
