As the hazy light filtered the air, I took a nice breath. The cozy aesthetic made me shiver. The air was ever so light it felt like I was going through a cloud. I paddle again, wooshing through the air. The water looked like crystals, dazzling so bright. The fog was quite thick but it was still nice. A strong wind comes and my hat hovers in the sky but comes back to me. It was a bit strange but soon I forget about it. I touch the water with my finger. It's a nice temperature and a bit foamy. Soon I got to this place with a bunch of moss. The fog gets a bit thicker. Not too thick, I was still able to see stuff from a distance. Another gush of wind flows in the air, making some of the dead leaves float. I love to feel the nice flow of the air, it’s makes me calm and cool. I sigh, it’s so beautiful here! The more I go the less trees I see and the fog gets thicker, But I still keep going. What could happen to me? It’s a nice swamp with nothing could harm me. Suddenly the sun fades away like in a second it was here just a minute ago. Was it because of the thick fog or did something happen? I paddle beside a moss chunk, there was a nice baby blue flower. I picked it up, smelling it. It smelled new and sweet. I gracefully place it down beside me and continue floating in the nice water.
As the hazy light filtered through the foggy mist, I could not see one bit. I could barely see the boat I was in as I floated in the water. Suddenly, a shape emerged from the fog, growing larger as it approached. It was another boat, its shadow was moving silently towards me. Hesitant yet curious, I called out, "Hello?" There was no answer, only the light waves of water against the mysterious boat as it came closer, almost within arm's reach. A figure dressed in a tattered cloak appeared at the center, their face hidden. "Do you wish to see?" the figure's voice was like a whisper, barely audible over the water. “See what?!” I yelled. No answer, the figure called for me to come aboard. As I stepped onto its boat, the mist began to swirl more violently. Suddenly, the boat sped forward, cutting through the water with unexpected speed. I stumbled but the cloaked figure steadied me with a surprisingly firm grip. "Where are we going?" I asked. The figure pointed ahead, and through the fog, a faint light started to shimmer, growing brighter as we moved. "To the edge," they replied mysteriously. The word "edge" confused my underdeveloped brain. What is the edge? My mind still in a blank as the light became brighter. And then, just as quickly as the light had intensified, it dimmed, revealing an island that was both haunting and beautiful: a land covered with trees, flowers, and sand surrounded with clear water. But to me it felt slightly gloomy. The boat had reached the shore of the unknown land. I stepped off onto the soft ground, the figure behind me silent. I looked back to see the figure lunging towards me with a knife. It was the monkey I scammed a few days earlier. His eyes so viciously red as he began laughing crazily. He stabbed me violently over and over and over again. I understood now. The big bump I saw at the back of his cloak was his tail. I just thought he had a really big bum. As he stabbed me, I wondered how I even scammed him. I think it was just of him giving me a dollar to see a magic trick and I ran away. This monkey really holds a grudge, I take a dollar and he takes my life. Anyways, there was nothing I could do so I laid there while the monkey continued to stab me. I never believed in it but I guess karma is real.
