Petra blinked out of her daze as fingers snapped in front of her eyes. “Are you even listening?” Her friend asked, pulling her hand back and frowning. “Yeah, yeah I’m sorry. My bad Lilly.” She said, shifting in her seat and looking at her friend. Lilly rolled her eyes good naturedly with a small smile on her lips. “As I was saying, I heard Max telling his soccer buddies that he saw Bella at the movies with Jasper.” She said lowering her voice slightly. Petra’s eyes widened, and her heart dropped to her stomach. “Really? Isn’t he going out with someone else though?” She asked, hoping to keep it subtle. Lilly shrugged. “Not sure. You know that Jasper doesn’t ever really have a public relationship. But it’s looking likely that he’s talking to Bella and like two other girls.” She said. “Oh. Wow.” Petra said numbly. Her hand drifted to her wrist, tugging at the bracelet there. Lilly looked at her and her brows furrowed slightly in concern. “You okay?” She said, her head tilting slightly. Petra nodded. “Yep, all good. Just think I had a little too much to eat.” She said, letting out a slightly choked laugh. Lilly’s eyes narrowed slightly. She opened her mouth to speak but Petra stood up, saying a small be right back as she left the table. She gripped the bracelet, pulling at it until it broke off from around her wrist. She walked over to the trash can, her hand gripping the bracelet hard before she dropped it in. She stood there for a moment, having to wipe at her eyes to stop the tears as she saw Jaspers name carved onto the underneath of the silver metal.
You’re gone You promised you wouldn’t Promised you would stay You said, “Never again” And yet, Here I am And here I say
Never again will I see your smile Never again will I hear your laugh Never again will I lose sleep over thoughts of you Never again will I yearn for your touch Never again will I dream of your eyes Never again will I believe all your lies Never again will I follow you, side by side
Never again Never again
Oh my love Please don’t cry I can’t handle seeing your sorrow Can’t handle seeing tears taint the shine in your eyes Can’t handle the way your voice breaks as you cry Can’t handle the way your hands are painted crimson Can’t handle the way you fight and fight and struggle to save me Can’t handle the way you tell me to stay, to stay awake, to wait just a little longer Can’t handle the way you practically crumble when I brush away your tears Can’t handle the taste of salt from your tears as you kiss me Oh my love Please don’t cry
When I wake up, what I look for is you Your eyes, your smile, My everything is you Your laugh is the only music I want to hear Your eyes are the only ones I want to get lost in When I dream, you are the only thing I remember When I had nothing, you came and became my everything I cannot say, I would even have a life, Without you
When the sky was black, and the air toxic, I was born. Born from the ash, born from the cries, from the death. When I was born, the ground was covered in rock and hardened lava, everything from before frozen in time by the soil and snow. When I was born, the world was dying. It was dying, and I was it’s rebirth.
