Dear Diary,
Today was another especially tough day, as yet another patient slipped away from us. His vitals were abnormally low, so I used the syringe to pump some vital fluids into his body, but my efforts were in vain. His heartbeat grew more and more frantic and at this point, I, along with the rest of the nurses and doctors in the room, knew he had lost the battle against his illness, and that there was nothing more we could do. I had to pull the plug, putting the man out of his misery. He was dead. And then my shift ended……
Gentle taps on the window pane, Sitting inside with you, As we gaze upon the wondrous rain.
The way it falls so gracefully, So smoothly, So calmly, It reminds me of all the times You calmed the flooding storms In my mind.
Oh the wondrous rain we see, It seems a lot like you and me. Some raindrops fall in their perfect ways, Like you, my darling, who brightens all my days. Some of the raindrops, they fall in a hurry, A storm of some sorts, Like my thoughts in a flurry.
We are like water, in some ways, You, you are the calmly flowing river With the occasional swifter flow, And I, I am the ocean with its Dangers and its rewards.

As the dawn breaks, I set my sights on what’s outside my window, I see the stunning colors and hues Of none other than the sunrise.

Yet I still gaze upon The serene scenery that is The sunrise.
The way the sun shines in the beginning of dawn, It reminds me of your smile. The calming hues I see, They remind me of your eyes, So gorgeous that I could lose myself within.
But the sunrise, I could not enjoy it on my own As much as I could by your side.
You are like the sun, For you make life itself better and brighter all over. You are like the sunrise, For seeing you reminds me of why I’m alive, To see the world glow around me.

I bite the hand that feeds me, So that maybe it’ll let me starve. The pain of life stings like a thousand bees, Or a knife starting to carve Into my flesh. The blood remains fresh.
The hunger pain, It isn’t that bad, It’s life itself that makes me sad. Life drained The purpose and soul From my now empty shell Of a body.
The frown One my face, I wore it like a crown From place to place.
Eventually, the frown said goodbye And a blank face Took its place. I wish they’d let me die.
Why can’t I Die?
I bite the hand that feeds me, So that maybe it’ll let me starve. The pain finally went away, I wouldn’t live To see another day.
Hand in hand, side by side, On this journey, our hearts abide. Together we’ll stand, together we’ll fall, You and I, we’ll make it through it all.
The darkness may seem overwhelming, And the light may appear to fade away, But trust me when I say, That’s all fake, that feeling is nothing.
Not all that seems is truth, Even what’s shown in bright light, All you have to do Is put up a true fight, I promise on my life, Together, we’ll get through the strife.
Not all that appears to be real is real, No matter how many real it may feel, Because I know that love can reveal The light of truth, And the truth is, Our love is the light, And forever shall it shine bright.
So just remember, Not all that seems true Is true, And not all that seems real Is real.

I remained still and silent to all outside of my box, but the thoughts swarming my mind were impossible to cease. The questions were never ending. Who was I? Why was I stuck like this? Why couldn’t I speak? Why was I stuck in this freaking box? Those were just a few of the thoughts that plagued my mind. Then all of the sudden, light poured into my box; someone had opened it. Soft music started playing, and it was as if I had no control over my own body, for I just started to dance. I did love to dance, it was the only thing I could do anyways, though it was never by my own wish. Some unknown force was making me dance. But soon enough, the light and music disappeared along with my ability to move as the box was shut once more. So I simply waited, waited until the darkness was gone and so was my dread for the light. But for now, I was trapped, alone with my thoughts in this dark music box.
In endless fields of starlit dreams, There’s a love story so big It’s practically bursting at the seams, Though you might have to dig To find the true love within, But I promise you it’s worth it.
Infinite dreams of happiness and love Will come to those who find their white dove, And those who don’t, They need not worry, For there are hopes and dreams for all those who want them, And there is no need to hurry.
Our dreams will come true when we’re ready, But who knows when that will be? No one knows for sure, But I swear on all I hold dear, The time for our infinite dreams of happiness and love to come true, It steadily draws near.
My dreams of happiness and love, They came true at last! And I know for sure, This time of hope is not one I’ll blow past. My dreams, oh boy, they were of a man, Infinite dreams I held so dear, Hoping and praying the time was drawing near…

The man of my infinite dreams has come, In his arms, I feel at home. That man… His eyes, I could get lost in them. His smile lights up any room. His kind heart though, That’s why he was in my dreams.
What man could ever be so perfect? So kind? So handsome? So charming? Why, it’s you, of course, my darling!
