Hey John,
Finally year 2125. have you ever thought even for a fraction of second that you would live through all these years? Thanks for the medical advancements, that allowed us to survive to this point of time. Do you remember year 2025. We were all caught up with the world, not even know the reason we were running - buying houses, checking credit scores, looking for extra income sources to pay the higher rents. Look at us now, the money we invested back then compounded continuously, and we are happily enjoying our final years. We don’t know when the end will come, with these medical advancements. I do feel pity for the current generation. Governments became cruel and rat race reached its peak stage now. What we struggled with in 2025 is nothing compared to the current situation. People are living without any soul. Thank god, we were born 100 years ago.
I know this generation have access to vast technology. You know we struggled to buy a house during the day, but for now, people don’t need houses. They have mobility to travel to any place with these open borders and they can work anywhere. They don’t need a house anymore. Everyone has their own pod to roam around and live in. They have stopped caring about materielistic things. Yet, there is uncertainity. With all these developments, people struggle to find work. By the way speaking of work, I also wanted to highlight that the capitalism has taken it’s new form. Before the era of robots and AI, we would go to work and earn our own money. Now it’s like you own a robot, send it to work, and earn money from it. The more robots you have, the more income you generate. Haha, a new way of capitalism.
By the way, I want to celebrate and embrace our 100 years of friendship. I am thinking of planning a reunion in paris. From Toronto, its 30 Minutes away and I think its around 40 from Texas. Let me know your thoughts. Also, there’s an event happening in Paris regarding an expedition to the solar system. We could grab tickets if the package looks attractive.
I know writing a letter feels too old-fashioned, and we are just minutes away from each other, but I wanted to embrace our journey and recall the era when we used to write letters.
