"Let me demonstrate", the cat hissed, as the dog circled around his bowl for the fiftieth time.
The dog had failed to grasp that his solidified, frozen meal was the result of the human's ploy to slow his eating. He simply resorted to whining and circling around the bowl until it had melted, as though his willpower would make his meal change states faster.
At last the cat had run out of her admittedly limited patience. The first few times, she had enjoyed watching the dog moan and complain to the human about this new practice of his. But now, each pitiful moan that escaped the dog's muzzle only made her hiss in annoyance.
"You are a contemptible creature", she spat with a look of disgust, "and I no longer wish to watch this shameful display."
The dog gave a huff and resumed his incessant circling, an action she decided to interpret as a plea for help.
"You have to attack the mass, you see.", she flexed her claws ,"Incapacitate it, just the way I do with those pesky rats. "
