[not me writing this as though it’s rlly old💀]
I slept within the world’s embrace, How comfortable I was! A sin? No matter! Consequence: none. Whoever would catch me? I’ll tell you—no one.
“A life worth living” is what I lived, No thoughts of things to come. When then—it hit me! A great awakening; My eyes fluttered open, My slumber was done.
And now? I praise the one true God For opening the door. His glory and light Overcometh the night; The scales fall from my eyes! I am sleeping no more.
When you think of night, you think of peace. Of stars in the sky, and a cold winter breeze. A place to wish softly, “Goodnight, and sweet dreams” Yes, that’s what you think of the night.
When I think of night, I think of death. A stone cold Adieu through a last living breath. As for the details, I won’t go in depth— Yet that’s what I think of the night.
[sorry mate, the prompt was to make it sinister and dark I think lol idk]
