One step... two step... do I dare Can I climb this mountain solitaire
One wrong move and I will slip slip deep into the abyss Paralyzed inside my skin I scream But no one there to hear what I bare
One step... two step... do I dare All eyes on me they do stare
One regret for me unbear Pass this chance and forever free Free from this eternity
One step... two step... do I dare My breath is gone I find no air
One choice to make simple it seems Please give me the strength to not let my fate slip silently asleep
One step... two step...
The tree branches stretch to the sun As the mind stretches the imagination The stretch it sees becomes more indeed As stretching it becomes one
One burning tree the flames will stretch Stretch up and out Stretch out to you if you do see The tree branches stretch to the sun
Bark will ignite when stretched real tight Buds will fall because the stretch grows tall Branches give way as the stretch will stay Birds will flee as this stretch eats this tree
The suns stretching rays are at fault For this stretching tree did not want this assault But the mind did stretch and became undone The tree branches stretch to the sun
A hidden path reveals itself through a thick overgrowth of green Invisible gold streams down the canopy reaching what was once unseen
Curtains of leaves protect it secrets and keep strangers at bay In search of silence just past a ravine moss covered rocks led the way
A breathe so deep is taken as if it were the first Safety now calms the fragile soul that was once about to burst
