When I looked at her eyes

I saw a women wise as can be.

Her spirit

Waved in the wind like a tree.

Let’s go inside for tea,

She said.

And just like that three minutes later

We walked past the crater,

And back into the house.

Jasmine, green or earl grey?

We were like a prey and shared the earl grey....

There I stood,

In the room.

My comfort,

Or maybe discomfort.

The pain came back to me

Like a chain,

Which didn’t help my brain.

What did you gain?...

I am made entirely of flaws,

Stitched together by good intentions.

Sometimes there are tensions

And intentions with the words that arise.

The birds,

Tend to know these words.

Within your eyes,

I find myself rise....

Yet, when they left

I became bereft -

By thoughts that came ahead.

What they said,

I had read.

Instead of hanging on like a thread,

I went to bed....

When I awoke

I spoke

I sighed

And I choked.

The past

Is long gone

And I must head on....
