I’m wandering into the night, hoping to be found

By you.

It’s been so long—I wonder

how it feels to spark again.

Each synapse—

a stepping stone,

lighting up a tiny fire with every step I take.

They glow, guiding the way

as I follow the path

you wove into my psyche.

And there, I find us—

immortalised,

preserved in the pulse of memory....

She used to be funny, caring, kind.

I fell in love with her laughter, her smile, her mind.

This was before we said, “This won’t end.”

But no one talks about losing love for a friend.

She used to be beauty, wisdom, a guide,

She made me believe I could be if I tried,

But now she’s abandoned one thing we held dear,

So, what will I do now she’s no longer here?...

Or would it stir your wonder for only a moment,

then be cast aside,

holding no more value than discarded refuse?

Or help it grow hollow inside?

Would you kiss away its pain?

Or let it fall to break again?...

For fear that what lies inside may have grown,

Though unseen I haven’t failed to feed what exists beyond —

Only nurturing its yearning for release.

But I see a day when it can no longer be contained within these walls.

A day that may come to be much sooner than foreseen…

A constant reminder of Jehovah’s reign.

My eyes reveal more than mere sight,

They pierce the veil, discerning what’s right.

Jehovah’s gaze is steadfast and true,

He sees my soul, in all I do.

My ears are attuned to a voice so mild,

In the quiet, He calls, like a father to His ch...

I could stop time.

Those were the words that echoed through my mind as I reached for what I thought was the light switch.

Click. On.

Click. Off.

Click. Dance.

Click. Pause.

At the school disco, my classmates moved in rhythm—until they didn’t. The music surged through the air—until it vanished, as if it had never been.

I flicked the switch twice more.

On. They danced.

Off. They froz...
