When darkness falls and life fades away,
you are left with spiralling thoughts, misguided dreams,
and hollow promises. In those times,
it's easy to retreat into the safety of your mind,
into the parallel life that was never yours.
For a moment you forget.
As the sun rises, you view the world
through a telescopic lens.
But all you see is the emptiness of the patterns you so desperate...
Under the moon's indifferent stare,
Dreams take flight through the midnight air.
Soft whispers cloaked the darkness deep,
Spinning tales where truth lies asleep.
Yet time has shadows, dreams have cost,
In the end, their warmth is lost.
The sky full of stars seemed dead and cold;
A place once so magical now hurt to behold....
In the stillness of the night, dreams flicker softly,
In the quiet of existence, they offer solace.
In the unyielding darkness, they dance with echoes from another life,
A parallel existence intertwining with my own.
Lost in this labyrinth of thought, I realize…
If wishes were raindrops, I'd be an unyielding torrent....
