Seems like I push everyone away.

Today’s been a really rough day.

And I don’t know how long I can do this anymore.

But God has got me through this so many times before.

Life is like a puzzle; pieces fit more as you get older and wiser.

Either way, it’s short, so be grateful....

Seldom seen, the truth within,

Trapped in silence, beneath the skin.

Always hiding, never free,

Barely coping, no one sees.

Life's charade, so perfectly spun,

Everyone's fooled, but I'm coming undone...

Sensing the wondrous frailty of life

Teaches us acceptance and calm

Anxiety melts, washing away strife

Bringing soothing balm

Lifting spirits high

Eternal peace to earthly eye...

Searching for the right words to say

Telling you ‘I love you everyday’

Anticipation leaving me in dismay

Beautiful words spoken too late

Locking my heart away

Expiration Date...

Solitude surges

Thorny thoughts

Arranged and assessed

Balance brain and body

Languidly lighthearted

Elevated exhale...

Small little creature,

Those two feet still unsteady,

As tiny toes grip carpet threads,

Brave and careful are your footfalls,

Leaving imprints on this new soil,

Ernest little trooper, this world is yours....

Signs of life,

Turning tides,

Ablush from strife,

Battles denied,

Love not for us to decide,

Enemies untried....

Staying at home with my family is nice,

Trying to stay healthy and safe.

A day with my dogs is wonderful,

Being bathed in hugs and affection.

Living my life to the fullest,

Even if time right now is stagnant.

My life is stable and I love it.

Or maybe it's stable enough…...
