No Vacancy

My heart has been nothing but a luxury hotel,

But that is over now.

I’ve filled all the space it has,

There are no vacancies, it doesn’t matter how.

Those lucky enough to have a room

Can stay indefinitely.

But those who got here way too late

Just won’t get much from me.

Every time someone checks out,

I guess I could turn over the room for the next guest,

Let somebody new in,

But it isn’t worth the mess.

I’ll never love or trust again,

I know that may sound sad,

But for me it is a huge relief,

Because love is just a lame fad meant to make me feel bad.
